A tornado was headed her way, but first..
Caroline grew up in Southern California, a normal sunshine and oranges childhood. "My parents and brother were extraordinarily creative people and my benchmark". Her father; an inventor and creative genius brought her mother to America as a war bride. She was beautiful, intelligent, and a believer later in life. Her brother was and is an artist of the first water; He could draw before he could ride a bike.
One summer Caroline’s life was transformed forever. She was nine. Like Dorothy in Oz, an unexpected tornado swept clean her little-town perspective. With her brother and mother, she stepped off the plane and into the fantastic! It opened before her like Dorothy’s door, onto the unimaginable wonderment that is ... Paris!
Suddenly there were statues on every corner, sculptures on every bridge and building, great museums with vast halls of tremendous art! Nothing she had ever dreamed! Most significantly, Paris exemplified art for purpose, art with meaning. God moments filled the city! Suddenly commemorative art was what art had to be, in her thinking.
After a life in entertainment and as an Imagineer for Disney, "It wasn’t until I realized my purpose, that I began in earnest. It had to be about more than me, otherwise, I would still be back in Kansas!"
